My little brother -
Who used to ram his head into walls when he didn't get his way.
Who has had more stitches than I even care to count.
Who doesn't know how to balance a checkbook.
Who lives across the country, away from family.
Who is a newlywed.

I am the complete opposite of my little brother.
When I found out I was expecting, I immediately began preparing. I read every book, discussed all possible birth options with my husband and began decorating a nursery.

I have learned that nothing prepares you for parenthood; almost everything I do as a mama - I do based on instinct. My world clicked into place when my husband handed me our son.
Nothing prepares you for parenthood.
Except this:

That is so exciting! Congrats to your family!
ReplyDeleteSo adorable! Congratulations to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteI agree - somehow it all just clicks!
Congratulations to them, and you :D It is so true how it just 'clicks'! Such a beautiful little girl!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for them! They're in for an exciting ride! Parenthood changed me in so many ways - all for the better!
DeleteAwww so sweet!
ReplyDeleteYay! Congrats to you becoming an aunt to your brother's beautiful little girl. She is a cutie pie! That is a great decription, "it just clicked" because that is exactly what it does. One minute, you are not a parent and in an instant, you are.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! I knew zero about parenting when my baby arrived, but you're right... it kind of "clicks" day by day, and parenting books do help a lot, especially when you begin to second-guess yourself. What a cute photo. Enjoy that sweet niece, even if she's far away.
